Karsen Matos
School Leader
Karsen Matos is thrilled to step into the role of Elementary School Leader. A passionate educator, she studied Early Childhood Education at the University of Arkansas. Karsen began her teaching career as a Teach for America corps member, teaching 3rd grade in Richmond, California. She later joined KIPP Bayview Academy as a 6th and 7th grade English teacher before becoming an Assistant Principal and then School Leader.
At the start of this year, Karsen joined Valiant as a Flex Administrator, transitioned to Interim Principal, and is now honored to lead the elementary school. She is deeply committed to Valiant, cherishing the strong sense of community and unwavering support from staff, students, and families.
